Privacy policy

Curious Inks sells printable coloring books as PDF downloads. This page says plainly what we collect, what we don't, and who anything is shared with. It is short because there is not much to say: we sell a file you download, not a service that keeps your data.

Buying a coloring book

Everything about a purchase happens on Etsy. Etsy takes the payment, delivers the PDF, and collects whatever it needs to do that - your email address, your payment details, your order history. We never receive or store your card details. What we can see is what any Etsy seller sees about their own orders, inside Etsy's own seller tools. Visiting this page

No account, no sign-in, no cookies, no advertising or analytics scripts of our own. Like any web server, our host's infrastructure may keep short-lived technical logs such as IP addresses for security and performance; we do not receive or look at those.

Mailing lists

There are none. We run no newsletter and capture no email addresses, so there is no list to be on and none to leave.

What we share, and with whom

• Etsy - runs the shop, takes payment and delivers your file.
• Migadu, our email host - carries any message you send to the address below, the way any mail server does.
• Pinterest - receives the pictures and descriptions of our own coloring books that we post to our own Pinterest account. Nothing about you.

Nobody else. We sell nothing about anyone and have no data of yours to sell.

Our Pinterest app

We run a small private application that posts Curious Inks' own coloring-book pins to Curious Inks' own Pinterest account, and reads those pins and boards back to confirm a post actually landed. It is used by this shop on this shop's account and by nobody else - it never asks for, receives, or touches any other person's Pinterest account.

A person chooses and approves every single pin before it is posted. Nothing is published on a schedule or without someone deciding on that specific pin.

Nothing read back through Pinterest's API is stored. When the app needs to know the current state of a pin or a board it asks Pinterest again at that moment rather than keeping a copy. What we do keep is our own record of what we chose to post and when, which is our own material, not Pinterest's.

When the shop authorizes that app, Pinterest sends the browser back to an address on the operator's own computer (https://localhost:3003/oauth/callback), which is reachable only from that machine. The authorization code goes from Pinterest to that computer and nowhere else.

Asking about or deleting anything

We hold nothing about you directly, so there is usually nothing here to delete. If you bought something and want your order record removed, that is Etsy's to act on - ask Etsy. For anything else, including asking whether we hold anything about you at all, email inks@shoalworks.com and we will answer.

Children

This shop sells to adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from children, and since we collect nothing directly, there is nothing of a child's for us to hold.
